Kala cotton is a purely rain fed cotton indigenous to the Kachchh region of India. It is grown in a sustainable way due to the resilient nature of the plant, the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers are not needed. It forms a strong and coarse fibre that produces a uniquely textured cloth.
*For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
All fabric purchases will be cut in 1 continuous length.
Please note: we are unable to accept returns of cut fabric, but are always happy to send out a free swatch before purchasing! Just send a note to info@oakfabrics.com!
